My name is Brodie. I am an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist based in the Scottish Highlands offering remote psychological therapies. In our work together, what matters most to me is the relationship we build. My hope is that I can provide a safe and comfortable space for you which is free of judgement. Finding the right therapist can be challenging, so I encourage you to arrange a free 15 minute chat so that we can get a sense of how we might work together. My job is to be helpful to you, so please feel welcome to ask questions.
I have over 9 years experience delivering psychological therapies in the NHS and across the UK. The majority of my experience has been working with adults both individually and in groups, though I have also worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health services and have trained across the lifespan in therapies and neuropsychological assessment.
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology - University of Edinburgh
MSc Psychological Therapies in Primary Care - University of Stirling
MA Psychology - University of Aberdeen
My practice is integrative, which means I may draw on a range of psychological therapies in our work together. They include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT)
Mindfulness

Telephone
I currently work with adults who are struggling with anxieties such as social anxiety, health anxiety, phobias and generalised anxiety; Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD); relationship difficulties; low mood; impulse control disorders; and issues specific to women including the menopause.
If you think I might be the right psychologist for you, or you would like to have a chat and get to know me a little better first, please get in touch below telling me a little bit about yourself and the support you are looking for. We can then book a free 15 minute phone call and take it from there.
If we seem to be a good match, we will arrange a regular timeslot for you. Meeting weekly or fortnightly is usually best. In the first few sessions I will ask you questions about your life experiences and together we will develop a joint understanding of your difficulties, what is keeping them going, and what we can do to help. We will then begin treatment and review progress regularly.
Just as beginning therapy can be tricky, ending can be hard too! Planning for the end of therapy is an important part of treatment. This includes putting together a plan for how you will cope if further difficulties arise once therapy has ended.
